QUESTIONS ABOUT PARKER PRODUCT
Are Parker pens directed for left-handers?
Sadly no.
For how long is the warranty on Parker products?
The warranty covers 2 years.
What does the letter „F” mean in the description of the nib or ball pen refill?
This letter stands for the width of writing. Width size „F” is defined as a fine, thin line
What is the difference between a rollerball pen and fountain pen?
"Rollerball pens are pens which use ball point writing mechanisms with water-based liquid or gelled ink, as opposed to the oil-based viscous inks found in ballpoint pens. A fountain pen is a nib pen that contains an internal reservoir of water-based liquid ink and needs little or no pressure to write. Fountain Pens are often treated as luxury goods and sometimes as status symbols however they may also serve as an everyday writing instrument."
Are the products sold with original parker box?
Each Parker product is packed in an original Parker box, unless a different box is chosen.
What are the nibs made of? Does the material affect the quality of writing?
"Many fountain pen aficionados assume that gold trumps steel, and if 14K gold is good, 18K just has to be better. That’s not really true. Let’s look first at longevity: the answer there is obvious. The most corrosion-resistant chemical element known is gold. But pure gold (24K, or 1000 by European measure) is no good; it is too soft, malleable, and ductile. But when it is alloyed in appropriate proportions with suitable combinations of other elements (silver, copper, nickel, etc.) it becomes harder. Generally 14K gold is the best, 10K gold and palladium silver are also surprisingly good, 18K gold is good but not the very best; and while steel nibs are much less costly, they can still be very good indeed. "
Which models of Parker fountain pens can use the converter?
It is possible with each of Parker fountain pens. Some of the more expensive models come with converters by default – for more precise information please check the product’s description.
How to clean a fountain pen?
The best way to clean the nib is to unscrew the front part, put it in a glass of water, and then leave it for a few hours, until all the ink dried inside is dissolved. Another method involves using a converter. Install it in the front part, dip the nib in water, and then using the converter, take in water, just like you would with ink. Then, the water has to be removed, also using the converter – you can repeat this operation a few times. After cleaning, leave the nib for about an hour until it is completely dry.
What are gel pen refills?
A gel refill uses ink in which pigment is suspended in a water-based gel. As the ink is thick and opaque, it shows up more clearly on dark or slick surfaces than the typical inks used in ballpoint or felt tip pens.
Where can I find the name of the model parker?
This information can usually be found on the white box cover.
